I love reading, and I love reading romance novels even more. To celebrate this week after Valentine’s Day and my love of reading, every day this week, I’ve put together some great romance book recs for you all, along with behind the story tidbits straight from the authors!

What inspired you to write this story?
Some of the inspiration for this Christian romantic suspense story grew from my memories of Mexico missions trips I experienced years ago. Specific settings, moments, and individuals were imprinted on my heart—especially one particular baby boy, who ended up as a fictional character in The Orphan Beach. I also longed to share Juliet’s story—to see how this feisty nurse would react to devastation and danger in her own life and to explore her faith and her relationship with Max. I finish the book with this Bible verse which spoke to Juliet in her deep loneliness and points to the hope and freedom found in Christ:
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11
