Top reads of 2022

I love keeping track of what I read so I can revisit all the best reads of the last 12 months.

Here is my list of my favorite reads of 2022.

This was such a beautiful historical romance and my first read from Candace West. Also this is definitely one of my favorite covers of 2022. You can read my book review here.

Footprints on her Heart weaves together the journey of two beautiful characters who don’t think they deserve each other, nor do they think they deserve God’s love. I appreciated the strong spiritual themes woven throughout with the perfect blend of romance and tension. I love Tabitha’s voice and Trent is one of my favorite heroes of her yet. Here’s my book review.

Emily Conrad has done it again. Such a beautiful, romantic and heartwarming story. As a musician and lover of romance novels myself, this book checked every box I could have ever wanted in a contemporary inspirational romance novel. Here’s my full book review.

I’ve read 5 of 7 in this series. Jacob was my least favorite of the brothers. I’d also gone into this story thinking I would strongly dislike Kate. But the beauty of a great author is how well they turn your perceptions on your head. One of my favorites of the 5 I’ve read. Here’s my review.

I was stoked to pick up yet another book by J’nell Ciesielski. This author does not disappoint.

Everything about this story was fabulous. The fascinating characters, the historical backdrop and multiple settings we visit, and the writing. I’d go so far as to say her writing style is timeless. Read the full review here.

Such beautiful prose flows from vibrant and happy to dark and depressive and them back again. It’s that spark of light that keeps you reading, that beauty of sunlight at the end of a dark forest.

What a wonderful book. I’ve got the first in the series on my TBR hoping to read that soon. Here’s my review.

I devoured this book. What a page turner! Even after you take a few chapters to breathe following the car accident and subsequent trauma and ramifications, the suspense steadily builds until you’re back on the edge of your seat.

This series has been so fun. I’m on the next one now and loving this author. The pacing is perfectly timed. Here’s my book review for Missing in the Desert.
