WWW Wednesday August Wrap up

It’s September already, REALLY?

This meme is hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.  If you join in and create your own post, then leave your link at her blog  when you’ve posted it. This is a weekly meme, but I’ve decided to do mine monthly.

So, what have I finished reading?

Three littler words by Melissa Tag.

Super cute romance, like a modern take on You’ve Got Mail, which is an amazing movie btw IF you have not seen it – go watch it! Except in this book, the two main characters know each other. Still very cute.

Also I just finished Once Upon A Prince: Book 1 in the Royal Wedding Series: by Rachel Hauck. Super cute contemporary romance with a fairy tale spin. Beautiful

I did finish several novellas within the Smoke and Mirrors Romantic Suspense Collection. I’ve been skipping around. There are 8 books in this collection. But the ones I have completed are:

Taken: By Sally Bradley

Dangerous Alternative: Kelli Hughett:

On the Ropes: By Hallee Bridgeman – one of the best books I’ve read written by her. I think it’s one of the hardest she’s worked on recently. It was extremely challenging, she said in a blog post. I think that hard work paid off.

I also finished  Flight of Faith: #7 in the Virtues and Valor Series By Hallee Bridgeman.

Great story. It’s kind of a sum up of the entire story of the Virtues. Women who worked as covert spies in Occupied France during WWII.  I didn’t really like the ending. Ending on a cliffhanger is fine, but not when the cliffhanger ending is literally in the middle of a conversation. All the books were kind of like that though. Except #2 and #5. Those endings actually worked.

What am I currently reading?

Well, I started and stopped a handful of books. Sometimes being picky is a pain. I literally just finished one that I was going to add to this section. Being as it’s actually finished I added it to the top. Most of the books I want to read right now cost money and I am flat broke until mid October.

What am I for sure going to read next?

A Time to Rise by Nadine Brandes is on the TOP of my pile but it doesn’t release until Oct 14th. Soo….

OOOH you should go pre-order this baby in order to win some book swag!

a time to rise

Other honorable mentions (aka the first ones I’m going to buy!) on my list, when I have money to purchase:

Valor’s Vigil: Book 8 in the Virtues and Valor Series: By Hallee Bridgeman

A Harmony for Steve: By Hallee Bridgeman

What are you reading?

  1. Cliffhanger in the middle of a conversation does sound pretty extreme! Though at least you’ll be able to get hold of the next one fairly soon. It would suck if you had to wait a year or something! I can’t remember if I put the first one in the Virtue and Valor series on my TBR last time I saw you mention it or not. I definitely meant to. Have to go check that now!

Thanks for visiting my WWW post 🙂

    1. Thanks! Yeah I recommend buying the entire collection in one volume. It’s much easier to read that way. I don’t like how most of them end. But I don’t like how novellas end in general lol.

  2. Glad you’re enjoying Bridgeman’s books. It sounds like she’s got a lot for you to get through, still! Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
